Glasgow's Toughest

Glasgow's Toughest is a race in Queen's Park, Glasgow.  A social adventure! 

When:  11:00am start on Sunday 14th May 2017

Route:  Registration is at Queen's Park Bowling Club.  See course map below.  Long - 10.5km with 1215 feet of climb, Short 7km with 810 feet of climb, Children's Fun Run 1.6km with 150 feet of climb

Entry:  For 2017 there is a maximum entry of 150 participants so we advise entering early to avoid disappointment.  All entrants will receive a Coolmax t-shirt

THE COURSE: Course map below

The RACE: 11:00am mass start for all classes. Glasgow's Toughest is a physical challenge up around Queen's Park - run, walk or crawl in your own time. A social adventure! A minimum age of 7 is required to participate - junior class is 12 to 16 years old; a 17 year old on the day of the race is classed as an adult.. The Race is held under UK Athletics rules, and is a scottishathletics Permit Event.

PRIZES / AWARDS: First 3 in each LONG course class (Men, Women) and 1st only in Junior Men and Junior Women.  First position only in SHORT class (Men, Women, Junior Men, Junior Women).  Prize for the winning team in long class (3 to count).  No prizes for the fun run - every child will get chocolate at the end.

FIRST AID / INJURIES: The event is a strenuous one, and the organisers cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries. First-aid kits will be provided to race marshalls. First aiders will be available at the start, on the course and at the finish. Anyone withdrawing during the event must inform a race official.

CAR-PARKING: Please come by public transport if you can.  There is limited parking around the Queen's Park Bowling Club where we will have our registration.

REFRESHMENTS: Drinks and sustenance will be available at the start, finish area and on the course.

RESULTS: The full official results will be put onto the event's web-site asap.
